Trinh T. Minh-ha’s Reassemblage at Int. Women’s Film Festival in Barcelona

In “Reassemblage” (1982, 40 min.) in spite of a conventional ethnographic discourse the Vietnamese director Trinh T. Minh-ha reflects on her own thoughts and presence in Senegal. Her essayistic documentary is a critique on the conventional ethnographic documentary imposing meaning. The Int. Women’s Film Festival opened the floor for this alternative ethnographic essay.
