Upcoming Gender Event: Women Advance­ment Forum Africa 2012

Women Advance­ment Forum (WAF)  Africa 2012 takes place in Johannesburg, South Africa from November 4-9, proceeding for the com­plete eman­ci­pa­tion, inte­gra­tion and advance­ment of the woman/​girl-​child. More than 300 participants are expected from around the world, including pro­fes­sional women, women in busi­ness and pol­i­tics. Almas Jiwani (Pres­i­dent, UN Women, Nat. Com­mit­tee Canada) and Rukia N. Isanga (Min­is­ter of State for Gen­der & Cul­tural Affairs of Uganda) are two of more than over 20 speak­ers from Africa, Europe, Amer­i­cas, Mid­dle East, and Asia.
