Tonight  The State of Female America will be streamed LIVE from NYC: A public discussion at NYC’s Cooper Union about how inequality and public policy affect violence against women and they celebrate those who are working towards systematic change. The discussion will feature Eve Ensler, Karen Higgins (National Nurses United), Kimberle Crenshaw (UCLA School of Law), Amber Hollibaugh (Queers for Economic Justice), Amy Leon (V-Girl Activist), Ai-jen Poo (Domestic Workers Alliance), and Randi Weingarten (American Federation of Teachers).

Eve Ensler founded V-Day, a global activist movement to end violence against women and girls. V-Day is a catalyst that promotes creative events to increase awareness, raise money, and revitalize the spirit of existing anti-violence organizations. In conjunction with the 15th anniversary, V-Day launched its most ambitious campaign to date – ONE BILLION RISING.
