With the mission “The global war on drugs has failed. It is time for a new approach,” the Beckley Foundation encourages with a public letter and says; “Let us break the taboo on debate and reform. The time for action is now.” The documentary “Breaking the Taboo” about the consequences of drug war is narrated by Oscar winning actor Morgan Freeman, produced by Sam Branson’s indie Sundog Pictures and Brazilian co-production partner Spray Films and was directed by Cosmo Feilding Mellen and Fernando Grostein Andrade. Featuring interviews with several current or former presidents from around the world, such as Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter, the film follows The Global Commission on Drug Policy on a mission to break the political taboo over the United States led War on Drugs and expose what it calls the biggest failure of global policy in the last 40 years. This initiative to promote the end of drug war also encourages to take action an upload your own video and/or to sign their petition. Find a lot more information on their HOME.
